Stacey Stewart Named President of United Way U.S.A.
Stacey Stewart has accepted the position of President, United Way U.S.A. She will start her new role on October 15. Stacey is currently Executive Vice President, Community Impact Leadership & Learning, for United Way Worldwide. When United Way Worldwide was created, the organization committed to create a distinct U.S. network focus. The focus of the U.S. network revolves around making a real impact in the areas of education, income and health.
During her time with United Way Worldwide, Stacey has led several key initiatives, including: Mobilization Groups that work collaboratively to move the needle on United Way's U.S. national impact goals and repositioning United Way as a community's backbone organization, leveraging the collective power of diverse community leaders with shared goals. She reshaped United Way Worldwide's organizational learning and conferencing work and has had the responsibility of U.S. member engagement. Under Stacey's leadership, United Way Worldwide's member satisfaction increased significantly.
In her new role, Stacey will serve as a visble leader with the media, policy leaders, external partners and other key stakeholders. She will also be charged with implementing the recommendations of the U.S. Task Force. Stacey will provide strategic direction, focusing on engagement of local United Ways and protecting and enhancing the United Way brand and reputation in the U.S.
Stacey is the mother of Savannah (Group 2) and Madeline (Group 4).
