Helen Cannaday Saulny Honored by Alma Mater

The African American Alumni Council and President Daniel R. Porterfield of Franklin and Marshall College (F&M) honored Helen Cannaday Saulny ’82 with the Sydney N. Bridgett Award.  The award is in honor of and named after F&M alumnus Sydney N. Bridgett, ’51, who is the second African-American to graduate from the college.  The award recognizes African-American alumni of distinction and service to F&M.  Helen was recognized at a ceremony on Saturday, October 5th and was honored to have her 88-year old father, Dr. Lawrence Cannaday (above photo), in attendance to see her receive the recognition.  Helen is one of the chapter’s senior teen advisors.  Her son, Kristopher, is in Group 7 and her daughter, Kelsea, is in Group 4.  Congratulations, Helen!
